India is rapidly shifting towards electric mobility, with the government targeting 30% electric vehicle adoption by 2030. To support this vision, the Indian Institute of technology (IIT) Delhi has launched a one-year online Postgraduate diploma in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology, designed for engineers, researchers, and working professionals.

The course blends theoretical learning with practical exposure, enabling participants to work on industry-relevant projects, simulations, and case studies.

Powertrain & Motor Design – Engineering of electric vehicle engines.

Charging Infrastructure – Standards, setup, and smart-grid integration.

Vehicle Safety Standards – Compliance and risk management.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/Science (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields).
  • OR diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of work experience in a relevant domain.
  • Work experience is considered an advantage for selection.
