Mamallapuram: A warm and enthusiastic welcome was accorded to the cycling rally organized by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) when it reached Mamallapuram today.
The rally comprised a total of 130 CISF personnel, including 33 women officers, who are participating in the long-distance cycling expedition as part of an awareness and outreach initiative. The event aims to promote national integration, physical fitness, environmental awareness, and public engagement with security forces.
The team was received by local officials, police personnel, and members of the public, who extended their greetings and appreciation to the participants. The atmosphere was vibrant as residents gathered to witness and encourage the cyclists, applauding their determination and spirit.
The cycling rally is part of a broader campaign undertaken by the CISF to strengthen community relations and highlight the vital role played by the force in safeguarding key industrial installations, airports, metro networks, and other critical infrastructure across the country. By including a significant number of women personnel, the rally also underscores the growing role of women in India’s security forces.
Officials noted that such initiatives help build trust between the public and security agencies while spreading awareness about health, discipline, and teamwork. The participants are scheduled to continue their journey to various destinations, interacting with citizens and spreading messages of unity and service.
The event in Mamallapuram concluded with a brief reception ceremony, marking yet another successful milestone in the rally’s route through tamil Nadu.
