In the lead-up to the upcoming parliament session, DMK Members of parliament gathered before chief minister and party president M.K. Stalin for a detailed consultation on the party’s action plan and strategy. The high-level meeting, held in Chennai, focused on shaping a coordinated and impactful approach for the DMK bloc in both Houses of Parliament.

According to party sources, stalin emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and assertiveness in raising issues that directly affect tamil Nadu. He reminded MPs that the DMK’s presence in parliament carries the responsibility of representing the state’s voice on critical matters.

During the meeting, the following key topics were discussed:

  • Tactics for questioning the Union Government on pending financial allocations, GST dues, and centrally sponsored schemes.
  • Plans to raise tamil Nadu-specific issues, including NEET exemption, language rights, federal autonomy, and welfare-related concerns.
  • Coordinating with other Opposition parties to ensure stronger joint interventions on national matters.
  • Ensuring consistent participation in debates, Question Hour, and committee discussions to maximize the party’s visibility and impact.

Stalin urged MPs to be vigilant and vocal, stressing that the DMK must effectively counter any policy moves by the Centre that might be detrimental to the interests of tamil Nadu or undermine the principles of federalism.

He is reported to have told his MPs that the party should present a firm, constructive, and people-focused agenda inside Parliament. The strategy session also covered likely confrontation points with the central government and how the DMK should respond.

Political observers note that such pre-session consultations highlight the DMK’s intention to play a prominent and organized role in the upcoming parliamentary proceedings, ensuring that the concerns of tamil Nadu remain front and centre on the national stage.
