Preparation

Boil and mash the potatoes, ensuring they are smooth and free of lumps.

In a pan, heat a teaspoon of oil and sauté onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste until golden brown.

In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, grated carrot, green peas, sautéed onions, and spices. Mix thoroughly and add breadcrumbs or cornflour to bind the mixture.

Shape the mixture into small round or oval patties.

Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the cutlets on medium heat until both sides are golden brown and crisp.

Remove and drain excess oil using a paper towel. Serve hot with green chutney, ketchup, or yogurt dip.
