IRCTC Tatkal Ticket Booking: You can book your own confirmed Tatkal train tickets, no need of broker

But it cannot be denied that people also like to travel by train a lot. Especially for long routes, people choose trains only. The facilities available in the train are also a reason behind this. At the same time, if you want to travel by indian train, then you have to book a ticket for this.

Many people still take the help of a broker i.e. agent to book the ticket, who gives you the ticket by taking extra money from you. But if you want, you can book Tatkal train tickets sitting at home yourself, because we are going to tell you the simple way of this. Actually, if you ever have to go somewhere suddenly and you need a train ticket in such a situation, then you can get train ticket through Tatkal option. You can book AC train tickets from 10 am to 11 am and non AC train tickets from 11 am to 12 pm.

If you want to book tatkal train ticket and that too without the help of any agent then you have to first go to irctc official website https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/train-search. Here you have to login with your ID and Password. If you do not have it, then first go to the 'Register' option, create an ID-password and then login.

Then you have to choose the date and station to travel. After that select the option of 'Tatkal'. Now many trains will appear in front of you, from this choose the train and berth of your choice (AC, slipper or two seater etc.).

After selecting the seat, you have to enter the details of the passenger here. Enter the passenger's name, address, age, etc. here.
Now you have to make online payment. You can make payment through Debit-Credit Card, Net banking etc. After this your confirmed ticket arrives on your email id and you can travel.
