ButTrivikram never showed any signs of interest in giving the remake rights to anyone for a long time. After a long wait, the director and writer gave the remake rights of the movie to LYCA Productions and they remade it in Tamil with STR and Sundar.C.
But, the movie was a dreadful failure. STR who kept a muted response for a long time has opened to a Tamil media regarding the failure. He said, "Sometimes we think output and the execution falters. I tried my best to imitate Pawan garu, but it never worked out. I am sure I will do better in the coming days."
