Amudhan [Ajay] and Vendhan [Srijith] does not go to home for vacation holidays and stays backs in colz hostel. Amudhan wants to visit his girl friend Poongavanam [Sanam] who stays in the nearby village. One night when he crosses the corn field to reach her house, he experiences few horrifying things. He runs for his life & reach hostel and tells his friend Vendhan everything that happened.
Then they enquire the villagers and find out that it was a beast Ambuli, a man-eating monster stays in that corn field .The duo takes it as a challenge and starts researching about Ambuli. In this process they come across Sengodan [Parthiban], who lives alone in that corn field from many years. The rest of the story deals with what plans does the villagers & this duo make up to keep an end to Ambuli and what connection does Parthiban has with this horrifying monster Ambali.
