SP Balasubramaniam is a legendary singer in the country. He made the entire country proud with his achievements in singing. The veteran singer has one and only best friend in the industry and that is none other than popular director Bharti Raja. They were good friends even before they entered the movies.

In an interview given in the past SP Balu talked about Bharti raja and the kind of bonding he has with him. Before entering movies, Bharti raja used to work in a petrol bunk. He never felt ashamed to say that he worked on a petrol bunk no matter how big he grew in his life professionally.

Also they used to work in theater plays. While Bharati used to act in dramas, Balu used to sing. In a past interview Balu shared a funny incident that took place between him and Raja. He said that during a drama raja has to don a coat, but he doesn't own one. So Balu gave him his coat, but during the drama raja became pretty emotional and involved that he tore off the coat and threw it away without knowledge. Balu also said that raja never returned the coat.
