The major characters of the MCU film Thor: love and Thunder are introduced in TikTok fashion in a new promo video for Thor: love and Thunder. Taika Waititi, who directed the last solo Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok, returns to direct the following instalment in the Thor franchise. chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor Odinson, accompanied by a host of new and returning characters. Natalie Portman reprises her role as Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson reprises her role as Valkyrie, and Taika Waititi reprises his role as the adorable rock creature Korg. Lady Sif, played by Jamie Alexander, will also return, having previously appeared in the Disney+ show Loki.


Christian Bale will play Gorr The god Butcher, the film's villain, while Russell Crowe will play Zeus for the first time in the MCU. The Guardians of the Galaxy, featuring chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Karen Gillan's Nebula, Dave Bautista's Drax, Pom Klementieff's Mantis, Bradley Cooper's Rocket, and Vin Diesel's Groot, make an appearance in Thor: love and Thunder. With Matt Damon as Loki, sam Neill as Odin, Melissa McCarthy as Hela, and Luke Hemsworth as Thor, the sequel appears to have more amusing Asgardian theatre.

The various characters of Thor: love and Thunder are (re)introduced in social media style in a new TikTok teaser (via Thor: love and Thunder News), complete with the usual visual and aural clichés of the online platform. The song "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses plays in the background, and it is included throughout the film's promotional materials, acting as the de facto theme.
