On april 28, 2023, the second installment of renowned director Mani Ratnam's tamil film series ponniyin selvan is scheduled to open in theatres all over the globe. The long wait is over now that the much-anticipated movie ponniyin selvan 2 has released its teaser! There is no doubt that Mani Ratnam's masterpiece movie will transport you to a different time and allow you to watch the riveting period drama. 


The historical drama is based on the same-titled 1955 tamil novel by kalki Krishnamurthy, which details the early reign of Rajaraja Chola I's great ancestor Arulmozhivarman, one of the most powerful monarchs in the South. The release date was announced on the official twitter page of madras Talkies, one of the production companies behind the movie.

Let's fling those swords into the air as we anticipate april 28th, 2023 (sic), the tweet says. The eagerly anticipated sequel was also teased by the filmmakers. We catch a peek of jayam Ravi, Vikram, and aishwarya rai bachchan in the PS2 trailer.
