Akshay Kumar Reveals Son Aarav 'Left home At The Age Of 15', Says He Has No Interest In Doing Films

Akshay Kumar opens up about his son Aarav's life, sharing he doesn't want to pursue a career in acting.

Looks like Akshay Kumar’s son Aarav is not interested in the glitter and glamour of Bollywood. While chatting with cricketer shikhar dhawan on his talk show, bollywood superstar Akshay revealed some interesting things about his son. Akshay defined his son as a very simple boy. 

Akshay Kumar revealed that Aarav, now studying at a university in London, left home at the young age of 15. Even though Akshay was hesitant at first, he eventually came to appreciate Aarav's choice to live on his own. Akshay said,  "My son Aarav is studying at the university in London. He left home at the age of 15. He was always fond of studying and wanted to stay alone. He decided to move, even though I didn’t want him to go. However, I could not stop him because I left my home at the age of 14."

Praising his son's grounded character, Akshay said “He (Aarav) does his laundry, he is a good cook, does the utensils, and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. He goes to a second-hand store, Thrifty, to buy clothes because he doesn’t believe in wastage.”

Akshay Kumar’s Son to Not Choose Career in Acting 

Additionally, Akshay also made it clear that Aarav has no interest in joining the film industry. According to the actor, “We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion, he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said that I didn’t want to do films. I said this is your life, do what you want to do.” 

Twinkle Khanna and akshay kumar are the parents of Aarav and Nitara. Akshay praised his wife Twinkle Khanna and himself for instilling a sense of humility in Aarav. 

Akshay Kumar's upcoming films

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar's last film was ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with tiger Shroff. Next, he is set to star in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Housefull 5’. Additionally, Akshay will also feature in the official hindi version of the tamil drama flick ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
