Animal rights organizations in mumbai have filed a complaint against actress Chhaya Kadam with the maharashtra Forest Department. According to news from Film Information.com, Chhaya had said in a social media interview that she has eaten the meat of protected wildlife like deer, porcupine, rabbit, wild boar and monitor lizard. The NGO has filed a complaint against Chhaya regarding this.

Kunju said that Chhaya's statement is a violation of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The forest department has summoned Chhaya to state as the Deputy Forest Conservator of Thane. Kunju said that if people like the actor make such irresponsible statements, then poaching in the forests may increase. Therefore, they want strict action in this matter.
