Veteran actor jeetendra was a bollywood superstar but his son tusshar kapoor is still trying to make a mark in the industry. Tusshar started his acting career in 2001 with Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai. Despite giving some hits like the Golmaal franchise, The Dirty Picture and Shootout at Wadala, Tusshar could not succeed in Bollywood. In a recent interview, tusshar kapoor talked about the initial phase of his career and said that the debate about nepotism started during his time and people tried a lot to pull him down because he was a star kid.

In fact, in a candid chat with Hindustan Times, when tusshar kapoor was asked about nepotism, he said, "It started during my time too." He further said, "Especially if you are from a film background, for a certain section of the media the glass is always half empty. You have to be very thick skinned. There was a lot of attempts to degrade, a lot of negativity."

Attempts were made to mislead

Tusshar further said that a certain section of the media targets star kids, often comments on their looks, degrades them. tusshar kapoor, who has been a part of the industry for 24 years, now considers himself lucky that he has the 'willpower' to move forward and focus on his work despite all the difficulties. He further said, "I did not come into the industry thinking that I have to live up to anyone's expectations. But there were constant attempts to judge me and mislead me. But the audience is very truthful. They will judge you based on what they see on screen."

Star kids have to work harder

Tusshar also said that it is not true that star kids are born with a silver spoon. He clearly said that actors with a film background can get their first film very easily, but then they have to prove themselves every time.
