Set in the fall of 1987, over a year after the events of Season 4, the story continues with the town of Hawkins still under military lockdown. The strange, otherworldly threat from the Upside Down is growing, and the gang must reunite to face their biggest challenge yet. Vecna, the sinister villain introduced in the previous season, remains at large, adding to the tension.

The new season will consist of eight episodes, including:

“Chapter One: The Crawl”

“Chapter Two: The Vanishing of _____”

“Chapter Three: The Turnbow Trap”

“Chapter Four: Sorcerer”

“Chapter Five: Shock Jock”

“Chapter Six: Escape from Camazotz”

“Chapter Seven: The Bridge”

“Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up”

This final chapter is expected to wrap up the series with high emotional stakes, major confrontations, and a resolution to long-standing mysteries.

The returning cast features all the fan favorites, including Millie bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, and more. A new face joining the cast is genre legend Linda Hamilton, in a role that has yet to be revealed.

Filming wrapped in late 2024, and creators have teased that this is the most ambitious season yet, promising a cinematic experience packed with action, heart, and surprises.

While this marks the end of the main series, the Stranger Things universe will live on through spin-offs and stage productions, including a prequel play currently running in London.

Fans can catch a glimpse of what's coming in the official teaser, which offers a moody, cryptic look at the final season.
