Netflix has officially released the first full trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the much-anticipated follow-up to the 1996 golf comedy classic. The sequel, set to debut on July 25, 2025, brings back Adam Sandler as the beloved hockey-player-turned-golfer, Happy Gilmore.

In a standout moment from the trailer, NFL star Travis Kelce makes a surprise appearance, catching Sandler’s character off guard in a humorous encounter that’s already sparking chatter online. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end joins a loaded ensemble for the sequel, which blends familiar faces with fresh additions.

Sandler returns alongside original cast members like christopher McDonald, who reprises his role as the smug Shooter McGavin, and Julie Bowen as Virginia. New cast members include pop superstar Bad Bunny, who takes on the role of an eccentric caddy, and appearances from professional golfers Rory McIlroy and Paige Spiranac.

Sandler’s real-life daughters, Sadie and Sunny, also appear in supporting roles, adding a personal touch to the film.

While the plot details remain under wraps, the trailer suggests that Happy is back on the green for one last shot at glory—this time older, maybe wiser, but still swinging with that signature rage and humor.

Happy Gilmore 2 promises a nostalgic ride with updated laughs and unexpected cameos, and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix beginning July 25.
