Mohit Suri’s romantic musical 'Saiyaarais drawing comparisons to cult favourite 'Sanam Teri Kasam’, with harshvardhan rane praising lead actor Ahaan Panday.

The 'Saiyaaracraze is sweeping through cinemas across India, with the new-age romantic musical winning hearts and sparking nostalgia for older love stories. Directed by mohit suri and led by debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has become a cultural moment, thanks to its emotional storytelling and passionate fanbase.

Audiences are drawing parallels between ‘Saiyaara’ and the 2016 romantic drama 'Sanam Teri Kasam', which starred harshvardhan rane and Mawra Hocane. Though the latter was a commercial failure upon its original release, it found new life earlier this year with a Valentine’s Day re-release, going on to become the highest-grossing re-released indian film.

The connection between the two films gained momentum when a fan posted side-by-side posters of 'Saiyaaraand 'Sanam Teri Kasam', declaring them the best romantic films of the year. The caption also hailed Ahaan Panday and harshvardhan rane as the "best actors".

Harshvardhan Rane Cheers Ahaan Panday

In a heart-warming gesture, Harshvardhan reshared the post on his instagram story and humbly wrote, "Ahaan is way better! His gracious response has since gone viral.

Meanwhile, 'Saiyaara', which was released on 18 July, continues its box office domination, crossing the ₹190 crore mark in just eight days. The film has now outperformed several major bollywood releases, including 'Sikandar’, 'Sitaare Zameen Par', and Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull 5', which wrapped up with ₹183.3 crore.

Ahaan Panday delivers a surprisingly mature and compelling performance for a debutant. Whether it’s action, emotion, or romance, he handles each with a natural ease and an undeniable intensity. He is the film’s driving force. 'Saiyaarais far from the hype created around it, but it is an earnest and watchable film."

As fans celebrate this new generation of cinematic romance, many are calling ‘Saiyaara’ the ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ of this decade, filled with music, heartbreak, and overwhelming emotion.
