After the Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer Predator (1987), and the next installments, Predator 2 (1990) and the last one released in 2010, the fourth installment in the Predator franchise has released, with John Davis returning to produce, and Shane Black who had starred in the first part directing. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Predator review.

Predator begins with the Predator getting captured by a secret government research organisation , and a civilian Olivia Munn and a team of soldiers including Trevante Rhodes, Keagan Michael Key, Alfie Allen and Thomas Jane are now involved in a clash with government agent Sterling Brown, as now the Predator decides to strike back, and what happens when the Predator is let loose, and whether the team was able to survive the Predator attack as well as rescue it from the clandestine research is what Predator is all about.

Olivia Munn looks good, and plays her part perfectly, despite the fact that her biologist character is not etched well, but contributes to the fun angle in the movie perfectly.  Jane, Rhodes and Key are extremely hilarious with their parts, with fun oneliners and wacky antics, and Jacob Tremblay as the kid with Asperger's is adequate. The rest of the cast is fine.

Henry Jackman's stunning background score is scintillating and sets the mood for the thrill ride, while cinematography by Larry fong captures the thrilling chase sequences and CG Shots featuring the deadly Predator perfectly, and offers a visual spectacle.

Having been a part of the Predator franchise already as a member of the cast, Shane Black is back to the team as the director of the fourth installment, after directing some hits like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys and this time around he has chosen the typical plot where the government misuses the predator, and a team sets out on quest to set the Predator out before the consequences turn into a thrilling, bloody violent ride for them all.

Shane Black fills the first hour of the movie with some entertaining humorous sequences, while the second half of the movie is attributed to several thrilling episodes, as the Predator runs rampage, and there are several goosebumps episodes in the flick and with the presence of Olivia Munn and Key in top form, despite all the cliches and predictability as well the logical flaws, Predator is a pretty decent entertainer, that deserves a watch.
