As elections are nearing, Telugu Desam Party is being dealt with several issues. We have already seen Adala Prabhakar Reddy shifting to YSR Congress after being named as TDP Nellore Rural Candidate. Srisailam TDP Candidate Budda Rajasekhar Reddy announced quitting politics but Chandrababu somehow managed to convince him for the contest.
Now, the party has changed its Puthalapattu Candidate. The ticket was first allotted to Tellaram Poornam who did not start the campaign and gave feelers that he is reluctant to contest in the elections. Chandrababu had changed the candidate and announced Lalitha Kumari as the new candidate.
In 2014 elections, M Sunil Kumar from YSR Congress won over Lalitha Kumari. Interestingly, she just lost the seat with 908 votes. She is also the TDP candidate in 2009 elections wherein she lost the election to the Congress candidate with just 951 votes. Is the Cycle Party heading towards a historical defeat? Is that the reason for candidates not interested in campaigning.
