N Uttam Kumar Reddy, a nalgonda MP and former tpcc president, has urged the State administration to regularise the work of the striking junior Panchayat Secretaries.

Reddy stated that the junior Panchayat Secretaries were appointed after finishing their three-year probationary period on april 11, 2022, and were anticipating regularisation in an open letter to chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday. However, the probationary period would be prolonged by an additional year, the chief minister stated in the Assembly. The government's failure to decide on regularisation despite the extended period's completion on april 11 prompted the secretaries to go on strike.

He made note of the junior Panchayat Secretaries' appointment and their expectation of regularisation when their three-year probationary period ended on april 11, 2022. However, the probationary period would be prolonged by an additional year, the chief minister stated in the Assembly. The administration finished this extension on april 11, but has not yet decided on regularisation, leading to the secretaries' strike. He made it clear that keeping the commitments made in the assembly would be bad for the State's leadership.

The state administration should immediately regularise the services of junior panchayat secretaries, the congress MP implores. He forewarned that if the government did not address their issues, the congress party would not only support their struggle but also get ready to take direct action on their side.
