APRIL 13, 1919 MASSACRE? What happened?


On april 13, 1919, the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh was perpetrated. The Martian Law imposition prohibiting public assemblies was not made aware of by people. Thus, the baisakhi festival, which was celebrated on april 13 in 1919, met with thousands of people. The killings were conducted under the orders of the Acting Brigadier, Colonel Reginald Dyer. Without warning, Colonel Dyer ordered the firing or asked to disperse the crowd.



The place was closed on three sides as the houses with their back walls surrounding the area were built around it. No way for the people gathered to flee, with the exception of the main entrance. mahatma gandhi has returned his award for "Kaiser-i-Hind" for the same reason.
