For the upcoming spring semester, the Minority Welfare Department is accepting applications for the chief minister's Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities. students who are interested in enrolling in post-graduate and Ph.D. programs at foreign universities can submit their applications online between august 22 and september 21. students can pursue higher education in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, France, and South Korean universities by applying for scholarships under the program.

By starting the release of arrears for the foreign scholarship programme, the government has made a substantial contribution to assisting minority students. Under the 2020-21 Educational Assistance for Selected Minority students programme, Rs 29 crore has been allocated for hyderabad alone, benefiting 122 students. Additionally, the applicants' bank accounts have received a deposit of Rs 18 crore. In anticipation of a timely budget allocation for the arrears, Secretary for Minority Welfare Syed Omar jaleel has already sent the Finance Department the release file for the 2021–22 and 2022–23 arrears.
