BRS Working President KT Rama Rao claimed on sunday that congress governance for 50 years has been marked by "fraud, deceit, and treachery" and that "intelligent telangana will not believe the lies and fictitious guarantees". The telangana minister also satirically stated in a tweet shared on social networking site X that if the "tricolor chameleon" (Congress flag) is believed, then the elimination of free electricity for farmers is guaranteed.

The congress on sunday unveiled six promises ahead of the impending telangana assembly elections, including the promise of Rs 2,500 per month and petrol cylinders at Rs 500 for women, as well as 200 units of free energy to all households, if the party wins the state. "When the tyranny of the vultures arrives, Rythu Bandhu's demise is assured..! Power outages and darkness (in the state) are certain if the regime of kalakeyas (demons) takes power, he remarked poetically in Telugu.

He continued to make fun of the idea that Telangana's self-esteem would be guaranteed if the "puppets of Delhi" gained control. Reacting to the congress party's electoral promises during its public meeting on the outskirts of hyderabad on sunday, the BRS leader said the congress had failed to deliver on its promises in Karnataka, resulting in issues faced by farmers and industrialists.
