
Reportedly three persons have been arrested by the police for smuggling sandalwood logs near Andhra Pradesh. 9 red sandalwood logs were seized in two cars in Ghajipet area of kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. The Task Force police arrested three smugglers. A team of RSI muralidhar reddy of RI chiranjeevi led by Task Force DSP G. Senjubabu was on its way to Pathvelu, Ghazipet, Ghazipet on thursday when two suspicious cars were spotted at Pattur Forest Pit, Ghazipet Division, Pattur Cemetery, Nagapattinam Road. On reaching there, people near the car tried to run away. But three people were caught. One of them Constable prasad was injured. Three were arrested. They have been identified as Sundaravel Kuppan (30), parthiban Murugan (30) from Tirupattur district of tamil Nadu and Ramesh Muniyappa (43) from krishnagiri district. 3 smugglers arrested.
5 red sandalwood logs carried in the car and 4 more sheep logs lying on the ground were seized. A Fortu car (PY01BM4846) and a Renault Duster (TN20CD5656) were also seized. The Tirupattur Special police took them to the police station and registered a case. The search for the absconding criminals has started. But three people were caught. One of them Constable prasad was injured.
