According to sources there was a clash between two groups at the school of Languages in Delhi's jawaharlal nehru university on thursday night over the selection of election committee members. Some students were also injured in the fighting between akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left Student Organizations. A university official said that the injured students have been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.

Meanwhile in the viral video regarding the incident of fighting in JNU, one person is seen beating the students with a stick, while the other person is seen throwing a bicycle at the students. Left organizations DSF (Democratic students Federation) and AISA (All india students Association) in their statements have allegedly held ABVP responsible for the violence in JNU campus.

Moreover it is alleged that the fight between the two groups took place when Danish, who was elected Executive Council member and Joint Secretary, was taken hostage by ABVP workers at midnight. Not only this, it is also alleged that a student (Kanhaiya Kumar) started beating the students of the opposing group along with ABVP workers.
