Shock to former IPS sanjeev Bhatt in this case…

Former IPS officer sanjeev Bhatt was convicted in the 1996 NDPS case of Palanpur. He was produced in Palanpur Sessions court on wednesday (27 March). This is a matter of confiscating drugs. The court will announce the punishment in this case on thursday afternoon. In this case, the session’s court has found sanjeev Bhatt guilty of falsely implicating a lawyer resident of Rajasthan. About whom it was claimed that in 1996, the police had recovered drugs from a hotel room in Palanpur in which the lawyer was staying. sanjeev Bhatt was expelled from the indian police service in 2015. At that time he was the Superintendent of police of Banaskanda district.

Banaskantha police had made this claim

Banaskantha police under sanjeev Bhatt had arrested rajasthan lawyer Sumersingh Rajpurohit in 1996 under the Narcotics drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act). It was claimed that Sumersingh Singh was staying in a hotel room and drugs were seized from there.

rajasthan police had filed a petition in the court

However, rajasthan police later said that Banaskantha police had falsely implicated Sumersingh. This was done to create pressure to transfer a disputed land in Pali, Rajasthan. After this, former police inspector IB Vyas approached the gujarat high court in 1999 and demanded a thorough investigation of the case.

The supreme court had rejected the petition

Let us tell you that last year the supreme court rejected three petitions of sanjeev Bhatt. He had accused the lower court judge of bias. Along with this, a fine of Rs 3 lakh was also imposed on sanjeev Bhatt. A fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on him on each petition. This amount was asked to be given to the gujarat high court Advocate Welfare Fund.
