Lok Sabha Election: A candidate whose two wives campaigning..?

You must have seen and heard sons, fathers, husbands, and wives campaigning for each other in elections, but there is a lok sabha seat in gujarat where two wives each are contesting for one husband. This incident is being seen in the Bharuch seat of gujarat where his two wives Shakuntala and varsha are campaigning for their husband and aam aadmi party candidate Chaitra Vasava. Chaitra is contesting lok sabha elections for the first time from this tribal-dominated seat. To ease Chaitra's path, both his wives are doing door to door campaign in Bharuch. On one hand, Chaitars are meeting men and young voters to present their views, while on the other hand, their wives are busy wooing women voters.

Who is Chaitarabhai Vasava, the candidate from Bharuch?

Chaitra Vasava entered politics in 2014. Chaitra was working in a government job in gujarat at that time. He resigned from his job to enter politics. Initially, Chaitra joined Chhotu Bhai Vasava's party Bharatiya Tribal party (BTP). In 2017, when Chhotu Bhai fielded his son from Dediapara seat, the command was given to Chaitra. Before the 2022 assembly elections, Chaitra rebelled against BTP. Chaitra accused Chhotu Bhai of running the party as per his wish. Chaitra then joined AAP and filed for nomination from the Dediapara seat. Due to this decision of Chaitra, Chhotubhai came on the backfoot and he withdrew the name of his party's candidate from there. Chaitra is currently the working president of the gujarat unit of Aam Aadmi Party. According to the election affidavit, 10 cases are registered against Chaitar. Most of these cases have been filed in 2021 and 2022.

Made headlines for the first time in assembly elections

Both the wives of Chaitra Vasava came into the limelight for the first time during the assembly elections. Chaitra had contested from Dediapara seat on the AAP symbol. To help Chaitra, both his wives took charge. Chaitra was successful in winning this election by 40 thousand votes. He defeated hitesh Kumar of the Bharatiya Janata Party. This was the only seat the bjp had lost in Bharuch. The security deposit of the congress candidate was confiscated here. Only after winning the assembly elections, Chaitra started preparing for the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, Forest Department employees lodged an FIR against him. Chaitra remained in jail for several months in this case. aam aadmi party has formed an alliance with congress on the Bharuch seat. This tribal-dominated seat was once known because of veteran congress leader ahmed Patel. However, the bharatiya janata party has been in control of this place for the last 35 years.
