Coast Guard officer suffered heart attack…

A Coast Guard officer in maharashtra suffered a heart attack while travelling. In order to save his life, a traffic police constable stopped the movement of vehicles on the busy bridge of mumbai for some time. After this the officer was taken to the hospital. An official provided this information on Wednesday. The police officer said that Coast Guard officer prashant Roy was traveling with three of his colleagues on monday (May 13). During this time, he collapsed due to a heart attack. However, his life was saved due to timely treatment.

He told that his car was on Vakola bridge in Santa Cruz West area. The traffic police had initially identified the officer as belonging to the Navy, but later it was clarified that he belonged to the Coast Guard. The officer said that prashant Roy's colleagues informed Srikant Navale, on-duty constable of Vakola traffic division, about this. After this he stopped the traffic for some time.

Reached hospital in five minutes

Shrikant Navale, in his two-wheeler, removed other vehicles from the route and took the Coast Guard officer to the nearby civic body-run V.N. Desai Hospital within about five minutes. Shrikant Navale told that the officer was going from Powai towards Worli in his car, but during this time he felt severe pain in his chest and he fell down.

Shrikant Navale further said that there was movement of VIPs on the road that day, hence removing the vehicles from there was a challenging task. The police officer said that he was taken to the hospital within a few minutes, which saved his life.
