
The indian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on 9 terrorist bases in pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) in the early hours of wednesday (May 7). However, in the meantime, pakistan prime minister Shahbaz Sharif has given a statement regarding this attack.
Shahbaz Sharif said in the Pakistani parliament on wednesday (May 7, 2025), "The pakistan army was ready for India's attack." During this, he also praised the quick response of his army.
Pakistani prime minister made many claims in Parliament
Addressing the session of the parliament of pakistan amid rising tensions between the two countries, Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif claimed that the Pakistani army destroyed five indian aircraft. However, he did not provide any evidence in support of his claim.
He claimed, "India had made full preparations for the attack. 80 indian aircraft were involved in the attack last night, but the threat was effectively neutralized by Pakistan's air defense system." Apart from this, Shahbaz Sharif praised the Pakistani air Force and its chief for the quick response and said that the armed forces had prior intelligence about India's plans.
Shahbaz Sharif made many claims in the Pakistani parliament without proof
Without presenting any evidence in support of his claims, he claimed, "We shot down five enemy fighter planes including Rafale fighter jet and also shot down two indian drones." Referring to Rafale planes, prime minister Shahbaz Sharif claimed that pakistan jammed their systems.

Shahbaz said, "Our armed forces are on high alert 24 hours a day and are ready to protect the motherland." The prime minister said that pakistan had offered a transparent international investigation into the pahalgam attack and claimed that india responded with aggression instead of cooperation. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Deputy prime minister and Foreign minister Ishaq Dar said, "Despite India's attacks, pakistan has exercised restraint.
