Senior bjp leader Girish Mahajan termed shiv sena (UBT) mp sanjay raut as a 'broker' and political enemy of uddhav Thackeray. On tuesday (June 3), he alleged that he (Raut) is weakening the party organization.

This comment of Girish Mahajan is being considered a response to Sanjay Raut's allegations. Raut had said that when bjp is out of power in the state, Mahajan will be the first leader to leave it. Mahajan is considered close to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Water Resources minister in the maharashtra government Girish Mahajan told reporters, "Uddhav thackeray does not need any political enemy to destroy his party, because sanjay raut is enough for this work."

'Leaders are leaving the party because of Sanjay Raut'

The bjp mla from North maharashtra alleged that 'middlemen' like sanjay raut have driven out leaders and grassroots workers from shiv sena (Ubatha). Mahajan said that the way Raut brought uddhav thackeray closer to sharad pawar and Congress, he has done the most damage to his own party. He said that if thackeray fails to rein in Raut, shiv sena (Ubatha) will break up.

'I got many offers to change the party'

Responding to Sanjay Raut's allegations, Mahajan said, "But I will never do what Raut did with his party. I will not do anything that harms the organization. I am one of the most senior leaders of BJP. I was in the opposition for 20 years. Though I got offers many times (to change sides), I never left my party." It is worth noting that in june 2022, shiv sena was divided after the veteran party leader Eknath Shinde and many MLAs left the party. After this, shiv sena and bjp formed the government together with BJP.
