A case of huge irregularities has come to light in a road construction work approved from the State Finance Commission in Sirohi district Council of Rajasthan. This case seems to be proving the saying "Saiya Bhaye Kotwal Toh Ab Dar Kahen Ka".
It is alleged that the CC road with drain construction work from Pechka to Khetalaji temple at a cost of Rs 34.59 lakh approved on january 1 was actually done to reach the private farm house of bjp district Council member dilip Singh Mandani, while this area neither falls in the population nor connects any dhani or majra.
Complaint was submitted to the panchayati Raj Secretary of the State Government
Advisor to the former chief minister Sanyam lodha sent a letter on May 12 and submitted a complaint against this work to the panchayati Raj Secretary of the State Government. It was said in the complaint that this work was done on wrong Khasra number (234, 237), while approval was given for Khasra number 239. He demanded to investigate this matter and take strict action against the guilty employees, officers and public representatives.
A notice has been issued to Executive engineer Rajiv Chhajed and a reply has been sought within three days as to how this work was approved without proper technical investigation and site inspection. According to the report of Tehsildar Shivganj, this road construction was done in a total of eight Khasras, none of which falls in the populated area. In this, three khatedari land (private), one Vera land and one Khasra goes to the farm house road, which clearly shows that the work was done against government rules.
Demand for strict action against officials
Former mla lodha has demanded an impartial investigation of the entire matter. He said that this is a big scam and an FIR should be registered on this and strict action should be taken against the responsible officers and public representatives. He has also appealed to the governor to take cognizance of this issue during his visit to Sirohi on june 6, so that such irregularities are not repeated in future.
