The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to fulfill the years old demand of the Lekhpals and Revenue Inspectors of the state. Preparations have been made to increase the vehicle allowance to these employees. It is being told that the proposal sent by the Revenue Council has been agreed upon and soon a government order (government order) will be issued on it. Along with this, the state government has also started preparations to increase the grade pay of Naib Tehsildars. At present, their grade pay is Rs 4,200, which will be increased to Rs 4,800.

At present, 30,873 Lekhpals and 4,281 Revenue Inspectors are posted in the state. All of them have to go from village to village and do revenue related work. Inspecting the fields in the villages, preparing land maps, correcting the Khatauni and providing the benefits of government schemes are the work of Lekhpals and Revenue Inspectors only. In such a situation, their vehicle allowance is very important because they have to visit villages daily by bicycle, bike or other means.

According to sources in the Revenue Department, under the proposal, Lekhpals will be given a vehicle allowance of Rs 1,500 and Revenue Inspectors Rs 2,000 per month. Earlier this allowance was very low due to which the employees faced problems. It was difficult to meet the expenses of petrol and diesel for going to villages again and again. Now the government has understood their problem and has decided to give relief.

Apart from this, the state government has also started preparations to increase the grade pay of Naib Tehsildars. At present their grade pay is Rs 4,200 which will be increased to Rs 4,800. Naib Tehsildars said that due to low grade pay, they face difficulties in getting work done from their subordinate employees. Therefore, the Revenue Council has sent a proposal to the government in this regard. It is expected that a decision will be taken on this soon.
