In the ED raid, two luxury cars and more than 60 expensive liquor bottles were recovered from the hideouts of Assistant Drug Controller Nishant Sareen. In fact, ED raided several places in Himachal, haryana and punjab on 22 and 23 June 2025. These raids were conducted against Nishant Sareen, who is currently Assistant Drug Controller in Dharamshala, and his relatives and acquaintances.
Sareen is accused of taking personal advantage, taking bribes and committing corruption by misusing his official position. This investigation of ED was started on the basis of FIR registered by the State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau of Himachal Pradesh. It was told in the FIR that when Sareen was Assistant Drug Controller in Baddi, he misused his post. In this case, he was first arrested and later a charge sheet was also filed, in which the name of another accused Komal Khanna was also included. After getting bail, Nishant Sareen was posted to Dharamshala in september 2024.
Another FIR registered against Sareen and Komal Khanna
According to ED, earlier in the year 2022, haryana Police had also registered another FIR against Sareen and Komal Khanna. This case is related to Zhenia Pharmaceuticals company of Panchkula, in which it is alleged that Komal Khanna's partnership was increased from 50% to 95% and fake papers were made for this. Many important documents have been recovered in the ED raid. Two luxury cars seized
Apart from this, two luxury cars worth around 32 lakhs. More than 40 bank accounts, fixed deposits and 3 lockers have been frozen. Not only this, more than 60 bottles of expensive and unaccounted liquor have also been found from his house in Chandigarh. According to ED sources, there have been complaints of extortion against Nishant Sarin even when he was ADC in Dharamshala. Along with this, investigation is also going on regarding the money transactions between his family members and pharmaceutical companies.
