Samajwadi Party's national president Akhilesh Yadav seems to be riding two boats simultaneously. He does not want to anger any section, so he is riding both boats.

UP Politics: Politics has intensified in the case of indecency with storytellers in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is almost silent on one hand, the Samajwadi party is vocal against the state government on the basis of the issue of law and order and social fabric. SP is not only vocal on this issue but is also active regarding the dispute over Tiwari Hata and heritage Corridor in Gorakhpur. SP Chief akhilesh yadav is thus trying to sail the political boat by riding two boats. 

Talking about Etawah, SP is trying to capitalize on this entire incident in its favor. From the very first day after the matter came to light, SP and its national president Akhilesh Yadav along with all the leaders were active and cornering the state government.

Meanwhile, an interesting thing is that the SP chief has not said anywhere that injustice has been done to the Yadav community. Rather, he is trying to send a message to his supporters and the state that what a particular community has been doing to Dalits, the same is happening to the backward classes as well. 

Through this strategy, Akhilesh is trying to bridge the gap between Dalits and Yadavs and create a new equation, which may not only benefit him but the Bahujan Samaj party is also likely to suffer losses due to this.

If Akhilesh wanted, he could have also said why the Yadavs are being beaten up but instead of saying this, his focus is on the fact that the backward class people are being prevented from doing Katha Varta. On the other hand, Akhilesh does not want to anger the Brahmins through this strategy, so instead of directly naming them or verbally attacking them, he is using words like 'dominant and supremacist'. So that the Brahmin class does not get angry with the SP and him.

Akhilesh said in a statement on Friday, 27 June that - Today the entire PDA society is raising its voice with every victim of the 'Etawah Kathavachan PDA Insult Case'. 'PDA' is a new echo of the new drum against oppression. That is, Akhilesh claims that not only the backward class but also the upper caste and other sections of society are the victims in this case.

Akhilesh, along with the backward in the Etawah case, is trying to bring Brahmins with him to Purvanchal. The SP leader had said that bjp neither likes hands nor PDA when the SP leader and leader of opposition in the assembly Mata Prasad Pandey and leader of opposition in the Legislative Council Lal Bihari Yadav were stopped in the case of 'Heritage Corridor' in Gorakhpur. 

Not only this, Akhilesh will go to Sultanpur to do damage control so that the SP's activism in the Etawah case and the statements of the leaders do not create resentment among Brahmins towards the SP. Here he will go to the office of former SP mla Santosh Pandey. 

Now it will be interesting to see how Akhilesh will steer the SP's boat across by riding two boats at the same time. For Akhilesh, bringing the backward classes together with the Dalits and also keeping the displeasure of the Brahmins at bay is like a double-edged sword. Time will tell how successful he will be in this.
