Has it ever happened that a tune is going on in your mind, but even after trying a lot, you are not able to remember the lyrics of the song? You know how to hum, but can't remember which song it is? Now there is no need to worry about this, because YouTube itself will tell you which song it is.
Yes, YouTube has introduced a new amazing feature, with the help of which you can now search your favorite song just by humming or whistling. Now there is no need for Shazam or any other app, go directly to YouTube and identify the song and listen to it. This feature works exactly like Google's Hum to search feature. Hum and the app will tell you which song it is.
How to use it?
Open the YouTube app
Tap on the search icon on the top right
Now you will see a mic icon near the search bar, tap on it
After this you can sing, hum or whistle a song
YouTube will recognize your voice and show you a list of songs
If you find the song you want, click on it and start listening. If you don't find it, you can try again.
Keep one small thing in mind, for this feature you will have to give microphone permission to YouTube. If you want, you can give permission only while using the app and turn it off later.
Not everyone will get this feature right now
Right now this feature is available to only a few selected Android users, especially those who are using the beta version of YouTube. That means iphone users or other Android users may have to wait a bit. But when this feature will come for everyone, the way of recognizing the song will change. Now there is no hassle of remembering the lyrics, no need to open a separate app. Just hum it and ask YouTube 'Brother, which song is this?'
