
The Divisional Commissioner of Jammu reviewed the development plan for civil amenities in the division regarding this year's amarnath Yatra. Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar on monday (May 5) chaired a meeting to review the development plan for civil amenities and renovation works for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji yatra 2025 in Jammu Division.
Officials of many departments attended the meeting
MD JPDCL, Commissioner JMC, Deputy Commissioners of Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban and officials of Tourism, RDD, PWD, health and Jal shakti departments attended the meeting and discussed the execution of the identified works as per the approved action plan. The Divisional Commissioner directed the district administration and the concerned department heads to issue tenders for the works as soon as possible.
The district-wise approved works include repair and renovation of basic amenities like electricity, water, toilets at various accommodation centers located on the route of the annual holy pilgrimage.
electricity arrangements in yatra camps
The Divisional Commissioner directed the MD of JPDCL to start the work of electricity supply and light arrangements in halting centers and yatra camps at Lakhanpur (Kathua), Bhagwati nagar (Jammu) and Chandrakot (Ramban). He further directed the JMC Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Jammu to start the tender process for the works at the yatra Camp at Bhagwati nagar Jammu soon.
Instructions regarding mobile toilets
The officials of RDD and JMC informed the Divisional Commissioner about the proposed tenders for mobile toilets, cleaning works and appointment of manpower.
Instructions to prepare ambulances
The health Department was asked to start the preparation of medical supplies and ambulances for the holy pilgrimage at the yatra camps and halting centers. The PWD was entrusted with the responsibility of installing waterproof hangers and temporary sheds at Bhagwati nagar yatra Camp. The Deputy Commissioners were directed to ensure monitoring of the quality, execution and timely completion of these works.
