This year tamil film 'Soorarai Potru' has received the Best Feature Film award and actor Suriya has also been declared as the Best Actor for the same film. However, Suriya shared the Best Actor award with ajay Devgan. ajay got this award for the film 'Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior'. 'Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior' has received the award for Best Film in Wholesome Entertainment.
Apart from this, South's actress aparna balamurali has received the Best Actress Award for 'Soorarai Potru'. Apart from this, the award of Best director has been given posthumously to late director Sachidanand KR for the malayalam film AK Ayyappan Koshiyam.
