Wednesday, thursday Heavy rain warning: Can tamil Nadu withstand?

Meteorological Center Southern Regional Chairman Balachandran has warned of heavy rainfall in tamil Nadu again. Heavy rainfall is likely to take part in northern tamil Nadu and coastal areas on november 17 and 18, said Balachandran. Speaking to reporters at the Meteorological Center in Nungambakkam, chennai, Southern Regional Chairman Balachandran said, “There is a low-pressure area in the northern andaman Sea. It will move west-northwest and approach the southern Andhra and tamil Nadu coasts on november 18 as a deep depression. On november 15 and 16, there will be moderate to heavy rainfall in most parts of tamil Nadu and Puthuvai. 

The northern and northern coastal areas and districts of Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilagiri, chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Ranipettai, Vellore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, and Cuddalore delta districts are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.


For chennai and suburbs, light to moderate rain is likely to occur for the next two days. Be cautious don't go outside unnecessarily because already roads have been flooded and stagnant in rainwater. Get prepared with things available at home, the government is also taking precautionary measures to protect people in low-lying areas.
