Following delhi and haryana, Pamaka youth activist Anbumani has urged that the corona booster vaccine be made available free of charge in tamil Nadu. He claimed the state government had declared that the booster dosage vaccine to prevent coronavirus infection in haryana would be delivered free of charge to the state government at the expense of the state government in a follow-up post on his facebook page today. A similar announcement has previously been made by the delhi administration.

On the 11th, I proposed to the tamil Nadu government that it come forth with a plan to provide free booster dose immunisation to persons under 60 years old in order to prevent the spread of corona in the state. It has to be acknowledged right away. Over the last two days, the corona spread rate in tamil Nadu has risen marginally. With the fourth wave set to start in the coming months, it's critical that everyone who qualifies is vaccinated.

The booster vaccine is only administered to those under the age of 60 in private facilities for a price of Rs.375. The poor cannot afford to pay such a high price. "As a result, the tamil Nadu government should step up and offer free vaccination to everyone," Anbumani added. The vaccination is currently being marketed for a whooping Rs.600.
