With the opening of the bridge, traffic congestion in the Medawakkam area will be relieved, and students, the general public, and vehicles will have less time to commute to school. tambaram, Velachery, Durappakkam, Pallikaranai, east Coast Road, Information technology Road, Tharamani, Adyar, Medavakkam, Cholinganallur, and Madipakkam would all benefit from the bridge.
