The Tambaram-Velachery route currently connects the Mount Medavakkam, Medavakkam-Mambakkam, and Medavakkam-Cholinganallur road junctions at a distance of 2.03 kilometres. The duration of this flyby is predetermined.
With the opening of the bridge, traffic congestion in the Medawakkam area will be relieved, and students, the general public, and vehicles will have less time to commute to school. tambaram, Velachery, Durappakkam, Pallikaranai, east Coast Road, Information technology Road, Tharamani, Adyar, Medavakkam, Cholinganallur, and Madipakkam would all benefit from the bridge.
