Since renegade shiv sena leader Eknath Shinde camped there with 40 or more MLAs, posing an existential danger to the maha Vikas Aghadi administration in Maharashtra, the Radisson Blu luxury hotel on National Highway 37 on the outskirts of Assam's biggest city has drawn attention. The MLAs, led by Shinde, checked into a hotel in Surat, in the BJP-ruled state of Gujarat, late on Monday. On wednesday morning, they took a flight to Guwahati, another BJP-run state.

The dissident MLAs were transported to the Radisson Blu hotel in three assam State Transport Corporation opulent buses with police escorting them after they arrived at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi international Airport in this city. 70 rooms at the opulent hotel, which features a large event space, an outdoor pool, a spa, and five restaurants, have reportedly been reserved for Rs 56 lakh, per sources. The anticipated daily cost for food and other services is Rs 8 lakh (Rs 56 lakh for seven days), bringing the total cost for the seven days to Rs 1.12 crore, according to sources.

Shinde uploaded images and videos with 41 MLAs from the hotel on thursday as a show of force, putting chief minister and Sena leader uddhav thackeray in even greater danger. In the photos, the MLAs can be seen gathered in a room for a photo shoot and holding signs supporting the shiv sena, balasaheb thackeray, and Eknath Shinde but not uddhav Thackeray.
