If the rumours being circulated in some media are accurate, narasaraopet Lavu krishna Devarayalu, an mp for the governing congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress party, is considering joining the telugu desam party to gauge his electoral prospects. Devarayalu, who has recently shied away from YSRC party activities and hasn't attended any of the party's events in his district, was spotted on tuesday mingling with tdp MPs in the lok sabha lobbies in New delhi rather than with YSRC MPs.
Devarayalu afterwards had lunch with some guests at the home of tdp mp Kesineni Nani. Along with the tdp MPs Kesineni, Galla Jayadev, and Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, he also posed for pictures with them. But there were also representatives from other groups, including supriya sule of the NCP, Dhairya Sheel Mane of the Shiv Sena, kanimozhi of the DMK, and two others. An mp for the DMK posted the picture on social media.
Although it is not unusual for MPs from different parties to congregate in delhi, the presence of a YSRC mp in a tdp MP's home has undoubtedly drawn attention. How YSRC president and chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy will respond to it is yet to be seen. But the fact that Devarayalu hasn't participated in party events is a well-kept secret in YSRC. He was conspicuously absent from the state ministers' Samajika Nyaya Bheri bus yatra, and he even skipped their open meeting in his own Narsaraopet constituency.
