Ahead of diwali, the government has come up with a special scheme for ration card holders. good news for you if you are also a ration card holder. Accordingly, the central and state governments are providing many special facilities including free rations to the poor and ration card holders. The maharashtra government has announced a special package of Rs 513 crore this Diwali. The Eknath Shinde government is going to give diwali gifts to 1.5 crore ration card holders in the state. Under this, the ration card holders will be given various benefits for just 100 rupees.
What items will you receive?
The maharashtra Cabinet on tuesday decided to provide Rs 100 worth of groceries to ration card holders in the state for the upcoming diwali festival. This hundred-rupee packet contains one kg of semolina, groundnut, cooking oil, and turmeric.
This offer is valid for 30 days:
As per the information received from the state government, this offer can be availed for 30 days. Accordingly, sugar, urad dal, cooking oil, and semolina will be procured by the government for Rs.478 crore. Apart from this, 35 crores worth of other food items will be purchased for the ration card holders. Ration card holders residing in maharashtra can avail of this offer on any day of 30 days. It is noteworthy that the government's priority is to provide ration benefits to cardholders under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana scheme.
