In a case identical to the Kanjhawala catastrophe in Delhi, a food delivery executive was killed last sunday in noida after being struck by a car and dragged for more than a kilometre. Around one in the morning on New Year's Eve, Kaushal Yadav, an employee of swiggy and a resident of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, was riding his bike past the sector 14 flyover in noida when it was struck by an unidentified car.
The two-wheeler was struck by the car, which then pulled the rider about a kilometre further to Shani Temple, where the driver came to a stop before driving away. The family of the deceased man has complained to Phase 1 police station. They claimed in their lawsuit to have phoned Kaushal the evening of the incident. A cab driver answered his call and reported that Kaushal had been in an accident and was laying on the road close to the Shani Temple.
Police have opened an inquiry into the hit-and-run after registering a case. The cab driver who told the family about Kaushal is being questioned, and CCTV evidence is being examined and the inquiries are also being made right now.
