Virat kohli to get back into t20 mode with RCB ahead!!!

On march 22, when the royal challengers Bangalore (RCB) and chennai Super Kings (CSK) square off in the 2024 indian Premier League (IPL) season opening at chepauk Stadium, virat kohli will play his first top-tier cricket match since january of this year. Following the announcement that his wife Anushka Sharma had given birth to their second child, kohli withdrew from India's five-match Test series against England. RCB captain faf du plessis and the rest of the team were spotted working out in Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, including Kohli. Fans have shared recordings of the former captain playing football and participating in catching drills on social media.

With the t20 world cup taking place soon after the 2024 IPL, indian selectors would be intently monitoring Kohli's league performances. There have been rumors that selectors are considering leaving kohli off the team for the competition. RCB, who has never won the IPL, takes on the defending champion chennai Super Kings on friday in chennai to start their season. Throughout 2023, kohli had not participated in T20Is for India. On january 14 of current year, he faced afghanistan in his first international match in the format since the t20 world cup in 2022. With 29 off 16 in the first game and a golden duck in the second, kohli didn't leave much of an impression in the two games.

Shortly after the RCB women's team defeated the delhi Capitals in the 2024 WPL final on Sunday, kohli was spotted having a video conversation with Smriti Mandhana. Additionally, he will be present at RCB Unbox, the franchise's IPL campaign launch event, where they will also be hosting Mandhana and her WPL championship team.
