Since there is "no poverty or crime" in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh, where kangana ranaut is the BJP's nominee for the forthcoming lok sabha elections, a prior tweet from the bollywood star has come to light.

Ranaut's birthplace is Mandi.

The star stated in a march 2021 tweet that she would "want a state with complexities" if she ever entered politics.

"I was given the option of gwalior during 2019 loksabha elections, hp population is hardly 60/70 lakhs, no poverty/crime.If I get in to politics I want a state with complexities, I can work on and be the queen I am in that field also. Small fry like you won’t understand big talks," she said in the tweet dated march 17, 2021.

This happened just hours after Ranaut's name appeared on the BJP's sixth list of 111 candidates for the next lok sabha elections.

The star announced on sunday night that she was "honored and elated to officially join the party" in response to the BJP's announcement.

Ranaut is renowned for her outspoken backing of the bjp and prime minister Narendra Modi.

When visiting the well-known dwarkadhish temple in gujarat last year, she made a suggestion that she would go into politics by saying, "Shri krishna ki kripa rahi to ladenge (If Lord krishna blesses, I will fight)."

In addition to Ranaut, a second well-known actor was included in the BJP's fifth list of contenders.

Arun Govil, who played Lord ram in the hit television series Ramayan, is a candidate from Uttar Pradesh's meerut seat.

BJP national spokesman Sambit Patra from Odisha's puri constituency, former calcutta High court judge Justice Abhijit Ganguly from Tamluk (West Bengal), and entrepreneur and former congress MP naveen Jindal from Kurukshetra (Haryana) were among the other notable names on the list.
