Director atlee, at the trailer launch of the film 'Baby John' held yesterday, expressed his gratitude to Thalapathy Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan, saying that the reason for his current situation is because of two people. ot everyone who makes his debut as a director in tamil cinema succeeds. Many have disappeared from the screen world with the same film. But recently, young directors have been directing films that suit the taste of the fans and are gaining attention. atlee is one such director. atlee started his career as an assistant director to director Shankar at the age of 25, working in films like Enthiran and Nanban. Drawing on this experience, atlee directed a few short films and turned director with the 2013 film 'Raja Rani' starring Nayanthara, Arya, Jai, and Nazriya. The film was produced by AR Murugadoss. Although the film was criticized for being a neo-con remake of Mouna Ragam, it managed to break the box office record by grossing Rs 50 crore.
After this film, atlee directed three films in a row with Thalapathy Vijay, namely Theri, Mersal, and Bigil, and recorded a huge success. Then he went on to direct a film in the bollywood film industry. The film 'Jawan', which he directed with Shah Rukh Khan, was released last year and collected more than Rs. 1200 crores. He is going to direct his next film with pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun. Pre-production work for this film is in full swing. Shooting is going to start soon.

Atlee, who has produced a few films in tamil, has produced the 2016 film Theri starring Thalapathy Vijay in Hindi.
