In response to accusations that the IT giant was cutting off thousands of employees, microsoft announced on tuesday that it was eliminating superfluous levels of management and leveraging the advantages of new technology. According to US media reports, the AI-focused tech firm did not reveal the exact number of jobs lost, but it is estimated to be around 6,000, or roughly 3% of its global staff.
 
According to a document published on the state's labor affairs website, that includes 1,985 employees in Washington, where it is headquartered. An emailed comment from a microsoft representative stated, "We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,"

It also stated that it was working to "empower employees to spend more time focusing on meaningful work by leveraging new technologies and capabilities." The corporation is moving forward with its plans to integrate AI into all of its products.
 
Two weeks ago, microsoft released impressive quarterly earnings for the January–March period, driven by strong success in its artificial intelligence and cloud computing divisions.
