Some pretty crazy theories about different heroes and villains who were allegedly being lined up to appear at different moments circulated before Brand New Day was revealed as the official title for the fourth solo Spider-Man film starring tom Holland's wall-crawler.

According to one of the most bizarre rumors, Spidey and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) would work together to defeat the raging Hulk. Frank Castle's involvement is unlikely, but it sounds like the Green Goliath might actually appear.

Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner in Brand New Day, according to Nexus Point News.  According to the website, "Banner’s appearance will be much larger than a cameo, and Ruffalo will have a substantial role in the film."

The claim that Banner has a "substantial role" in the film is intriguing, regardless of whether we witness the character's transformation into the Hulk. After the events of No Way Home, is it possible that Parker may approach the other half of the "Science Bros" to ask for assistance with his current situation?  Whatever part Banner plays, it probably has to do with setting the stage for Avengers: Doomsday in some way.

The website also provides a production update, stating that Brand New Day will start filming in london in late July.

Ruffalo will join Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink, who is rumored to be playing Mayday Parker, if he is truly scheduled to make an appearance.  Additionally, it has been reported that Michael Mando will return as the Scorpion and that Steven Yeun is in negotiations for an unspecified part.

In contrast to the earlier movies, Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home, Brand New Day refers to a particular comic book arc that centers on Peter Parker's efforts to reconstruct his life after the events of the game's game-changing One More Day and Civil War.
