The Iran Israel War is getting more intense day by day. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) said on saturday (June 21, 2025) that they killed Saeed Izadi in an Israeli airstrike in Iran. Izadi was the head of the palestine Corps in the IRGC Quds Force.
Saeed Izadi was one of the key people in the attacks carried out by Hamas in israel on october 7, 2023 and was one of the few people who knew about it in advance. According to the IDF, funding and weapons were given to Hamas by Izadi for the attack on Israel.
Izadi was hiding in the Iranian city of Qom
The Israeli army said that Izadi was living in a safe house in the Iranian city of Qom, who was killed after a long intelligence effort. He said that as palestine Corps commander in the Quds Force, Izadi used to coordinate between Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and senior Iranian and Hamas leaders.
Who was Saeed Izadi?
The Israeli army said that Izadi helped Hamas get financial assistance from iran for terrorist activities against Israel. Apart from this, he was in direct contact with Palestinian terrorist organizations in both Gaza and West Bank. Izadi used to guide Hamas fighters in lebanon during the war and was responsible for rebuilding Hamas' military wing.
He said that Izadi was also one of the key persons involved in Iran behind the plan to destroy israel, under which israel was to be attacked from many fronts in two phases.
'There is no city for refuge in the Middle east now'
IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said that the entire Middle east has become safe with the killing of Izadi. He further said that Saeed Izadi was one of the confidants involved in planning and executing the october 7 massacre and his hands were stained with the blood of thousands of Israelis. Referring to the slain Hamas leaders, Zamir said that he led the Iran-Hamas axis and was a confidant of Sinwar, Deif. He also said that there is no city for refuge in the Middle east now.
