India is preparing to send 52 defense satellites into space in the next four years. These satellites will be deployed in low-earth orbit and geostationary orbit.
India Launch 52 Defense Surveillance
After defeating Pakistan through Operation Sindoor, india has started strengthening its military power. Under this, India is now going to send 52 special defense satellites into space in the next four years i.e. by 2029. All these satellites will keep an eye on India's border with china and Pakistan. All these satellites will be Artificial Intelligence (AI) based.
Last year, the government had approved crores
This entire campaign is being run under the Defense Space Agency. In october last year, the cabinet Committee on Security Affairs headed by prime minister Narendra Modi had approved Rs 26,968 crore for this. Under this scheme, isro will make and launch 21 satellites, while three indian private companies will make 31 satellites.
There will be an eye on China-Pakistan border
These satellites will be deployed in low-earth orbit and geostationary orbit. The first satellite will be launched in april 2026. According to the Times of india report, efforts are being made to reduce its time limit further. All this is being done under the third phase of Space-Based Surveillance (SBS-3).
The main goal of SBS-3 is to monitor as many areas of china and pakistan as possible. This will also monitor the indian Ocean region. All these satellites will become India's eyes in space and will keep sending messages and pictures from there. Apart from this, the indian Air Force is also busy preparing three High Altitude Platform System aircraft.
India's military strength will be strengthened
According to the report, an official said that the sooner we install these 52 satellites in space, the sooner our security will be strengthened. In the last few years, china has increased its power in space a lot.
Till 2010, china had only 36 military satellites whereas today it has more than 1000 satellites. Out of these, more than 360 satellites are for surveillance (ISR) purposes. It also has weapons like anti-satellite missiles, co-orbital satellites, electronic warfare systems, and lasers.
